컴퓨터 비전은 시각 정보를 다루는 인공지능의 한 분야로 근래 사진과 동영상 데이터의 폭발적인 증가로 인해 그 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 본 강의에서는 우선 컴퓨터 비전의 핵심적인 개념과 방법론들을 학습한다. 또한 대용량 시각 데이터의 획득 처리 분석 이해 생성과 관련된 다양한 경험을 습득하기위해 프로그래밍으로 구성된 숙제들과 과제를 수행한다. 이를 통해 학생들은 최신 컴퓨터 비전 알고리즘의 구현과 실험을 직접 수행하고 결과를 분석하여 새로운 아이디어를 도출할 수 있는 연구 능력을 배양한다.

Computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence that aims to similuate human’s incredible ability to understand visual information. Its importance has been rapidly growing due to the explosive increase in photo and video data in our lives. This course covers the core concepts and methodologies of computer vision, and allows students to engage in programming-intensive assignments and projects to gain hands-on experience in acquiring, processing, analyzing, understanding, and generating large-scale visual data. Through this process, students will develop research capabilities by directly implementing and experimenting with state-of-the-art
computer vision algorithms and analyzing the results to derive novel ideas.
